After many, many, long years of fundraising and grant applications we have finally begun our Hall Redevelopment Project. A substantial amount of project funding is from the European Union, through Welsh Ministers. Numerous other organisations have also donated generously who without there support the project could not be completed, for that we thank everyone for there financial and personal time supporting this.
The extension was built many decades ago by 15 and 16 year old scouts. It was intended as a temporary building until the group raised money to build a proper building. The extension is really showing it’s age, it is dark, damp, leaks when it rains, has plants growing through it and is home to many spiders. The funding to build a new “Shell” (walls, roof, internal doors and structure floors) building has been secured and is underway, next to raise money to allow the “fit out” of flooring, decorations, lighting and power.
Our kitchen was showing it’s age and was in desperate need of refurbishment. We also needed to improve our accessibility as we did not have step-free access or an accessible toilet. The Kitchen, new disabled toilet and accessibility ramp is complete.
The project demolition and foundations have been completed.
